Food&Wine Tour

 Departure from Usa to Bologna  Arrival at Bologna airport where you will meeting with  your Tour Director and your private motorcaoch, transfer to your hotel in downtown Bologna. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to settle in and explore the city with your Tour Director. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner of local Bolognese cuisine at your hotel.  Following breakfast at your hotel, immerse yourself in this area, a place where some of the world’s most beautiful machinery are created within a few miles of Bologna and Modena. Discover the birthplace of Ferrari, Ducati, Lamborghini and Maserati. Make your first stop the Lamborghini Museum just outside Bologna. The exhibit houses some road vehicles, Formula One cars, various marine engines, F1 engines and more. Second stop the Ducati Museum which houses historical motorbikes along with contemporary models, mechanical parts, photos and film clips. Return to Bologna, dinner at local restaurant, overnihgt in your Hotel.   Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group your hotel. This morning you’ll meet with your local guide for a walking tour of the city of Bologna including Piazza Maggiore, Neptune’s Fountain, the Two Towers, Basilica di San Petronio and more. Following the tour, lunch with your group in a local restaurant. Board your motor coach and travel to  Maranello, located outside of Modena, to visit the world famous Ferrari Gallery. The exhibition changes frequently but always features vintage road vehicles, Formula One cars, transmissions, engines, photographs and much more. You can spend hours in this amazing gallery. Return to Bologna, dinner  in a local restaurant
Overnight accommodation in your Hotel. Breakfast at the hotel with your group. Board your bus to travel to Parma, famous for its prosciutto, cheese, architecture, music and surrounding countryside.

The day will be dedicated to two important components of this area’s cuisine: Prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Visit a local parmesan cheese factory, learn how this delicious local cheese is produced. You will learn how these savory foodstuffs are made and enjoy a tasting.

In the afternoon join your local guide walking tour of Parma, the birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi, one of Italy’s finest operatic composers. Visit the Chiesa di Santa Croce, Palazzo Ducale and much more. Return to Bologna for the evening.

Board your bus to travel to the beautiful Lake Garda region, for a spectacular view over Lake Garda there is nothing better than a ride on the Malcesine cable car, which rises to 1600m in just ten minutes and reaches an altitude of 1760m at the top of Monte Baldo.

Have time for lunch (not included)

Explore the lovely town of Lazise on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda.

Board your motor coach and return to Bologna
