Rome est la capitale de la République italienne, ainsi que capitale de la région du Latium. La ville dispose d’un système administratif spécial, appelé Roma Capitale, régie par une loi de l’Etat.

Fondée, selon la tradition, sur Avril 21e 753 BC (Bien que de récentes fouilles dans les Lapis Niger dateraient la fondation de deux siècles plus tôt), au cours de ses trois millénaires d’histoire fut la première grande métropole de l’humanité, au cœur de l’une des plus importantes civilisations anciennes, qui ont influencé la société, la culture, la langue, la littérature, l’art, l’architecture, la philosophie, la religion, le droit et les coutumes des siècles suivants. Lieu de naissance de la langue latine, était la capitale de l’Empire romain, qui a étendu sa domination sur l’ensemble du bassin méditerranéen et une grande partie de l’Europe, les Etats pontificaux, sous réserve du pouvoir temporel des papes, et le royaume d’Italie ( 1871-1946). Par définition, il est défini comme les Urbs, Caput Mundi et éternelle City.

Day 1: Destiantion Rome

Arrival of group in Rome in late afternoon. Check-in at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Rome


After breakfast departure for a guided tour of the eternal city: Castel Sant’Angelo, grandiose construction commissioned by the emperor Hadrian to grave (it will be seen only outside by bus). We proceed towards San Pietro and the Vatican museums. Lunch in the center of Rome. The  baths of Caracalla externally can be seen passing by bus, which then will leave the Group at the intersection of Via Appia Pignatelli and Via Appia Antica (non-transit buses).
First we will visit the catacombs of San Sebastiano (not those of s. Callisto). This visit  carried out exclusively by inner Rails. To follow we will continue with the visit to the Circus of Maxentius, mausoleum of external Cecilia Metella and the Church of St. Nicholas Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3: Rome

After breakfast, meet your lcoal guide and discover on your own Roman Forum, Palatine & of course the Coliseum, originally used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles Explore Rome’s Piazzas: Piazza della Rotonda, the Fountain of Four Rivers in Piazza Navona & historic Piazza del Popolo. Make a wish as you toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, legend says it will one day bring you back to Rome. Experience Italian culture thought its cuisine and traditional Roman & Neapolitan music Return to the hotel, overnight.

Day 4: Tivoli – Roman Castles

Breakfast in the hotel and departure to Tivoli. In the morning, guided visit of Villa D‘Este. Later you are directed to the region of the Roman Castles. Visit of a regional wine cellar with wine tasting. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
